A few days ago, SwitchBot launched a new version of their smallest robot vacuum cleaner called the SwitchBot K10+ Pro. I have both the regular K10+ and the new K10+ Pro here, and I’m excited to test them head-to-head to see which one performs better and offers more value for the cost.
Before diving into the details, I want to mention that SwitchBot sent me these two robots for an honest review. However, they haven’t influenced my opinions – what you’re reading here is my genuine experience. Now, let’s jump into what’s new with the K10+ Pro.

What’s New with the K10+ Pro?
At first glance, the SwitchBot K10+ Pro brings several key improvements over the previous model, including:
- Matter standard support
- Stronger suction power
- A new tangle-free rubber brush
- Better corner cleaning capabilities
All these enhancements come in the same compact size and weight as the original K10+. But are these upgrades really effective? Let’s break them down one by one, starting with the corner cleaning capability.
Better Corner Cleaning Capabilities
To test the corner cleaning abilities of both vacuums, I built a simple race track. I wanted to see how well each model navigates tight spaces and cleans edges and corners. After running both the K10+ and K10+ Pro through the test, it was tough to declare a clear winner.
Both robots performed admirably, so I’d say it’s a tie in this category — one point for each.
Improved Rubber Brush
Next up is the new rubber brush on the K10+ Pro. The regular K10+ uses a combination of a rubber brush and a hairbrush, while the Pro version is equipped with a brush made entirely of rubber. If you have pets or long-haired family members, this new feature could be a perfect fit, as the rubber brush is less likely to get tangled with hair.
In my tests, the K10+ Pro’s rubber brush proved to be the better option, making it the clear winner in this category.
Matter Standard Support
One significant upgrade in the K10+ Pro is its Matter standard support. This means you can integrate the vacuum into your Smart Home ecosystem—whether it’s Google, Apple, Amazon, or Home Assistant. To enable Matter, you’ll need an additional SwitchBot Hub 2 or Hub Mini (Matter version), which costs around $60 to $70 depending on your choice.
However, if you decide not to invest in these Hubs, you can still connect the K10+ Pro to your WiFi and control it using the SwitchBot App. Alternatively, you can operate the robot using its physical buttons if you prefer to keep things simple.
Given the increasing importance of Matter in smart home setups, the K10+ Pro scores another point here.
Stronger Suction Power
The regular K10+ offers 2500Pa of suction power, which is similar to previous flagship models like the Roborock S7. The K10+ Pro, however, steps it up with 3000Pa—500Pa more than its predecessor. While this is a solid improvement, it’s worth noting that newer flagship models like the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra boast a whopping 10,000Pa.
However, the Roborock S8 is priced around $1800, making it over four times more expensive than the SwitchBot K10+ Pro, which costs about $420. Keep in mind that this price may increase after the initial release, so now might be the best time to grab one. If you’re on a budget, the regular K10+ usually sells for about $120 less than the Pro, and you might find a coupon code in the video description for an even better deal.
In this case, I’m giving one point to the K10+ Pro for its enhanced suction power and another to the regular K10+ for its excellent price-to-performance ratio.

Other Considerations
Aside from the improvements mentioned, most other features of the K10+ and K10+ Pro are nearly identical. If you want more in-depth details, be sure to check out my previous article on the original K10+.
However, one feature I still miss — and my biggest complaint about these vacuums—is the mopping function.
Unfortunately, you can’t vacuum and mop simultaneously. Instead, you’ll need to run two separate cycles: one for vacuuming and another for mopping, during which you must set no-go zones for your carpets. This isn’t ideal, and I hope they address this in a future version.
